Transpersonal psychology

The main purpose of transpersonal psychology is to study and facilitate the spiritual and transcendent aspects of human experience, going beyond the ego to achieve holistic personal growth, self-awareness, and spiritual development.

It integrates insights from different psychological and spiritual traditions to help individuals connect with a deeper sense of purpose and meaning, explore non-ordinary states of consciousness, and foster transformation and self-actualization.

Unified Medicine revisits and updates the concepts expressed in the 1960s (Abraham Maslow, Roberto Assagioli, Carl G. Jung, William James, Anthony Sutich, James Hillman), which formed the basis of transpersonal psychology, and expands them through a systemic vision in which body, mind, and soul are once again correlated. Through the use of energy-meditative techniques, it addresses and resolves the issues that arise in people.

All pathologies are therefore viewed and treated in a transpersonal manner, which is why the term psychosomatic is used in its etymological meaning.

In fact, the term “psyche” derives from the ancient Greek ψυχή (psyché), which means ‘breath’ or “vital breath.” Etymologically, therefore, the term is linked to the idea of the breath that gives life. Among the Greeks, this word originally referred to the soul, identified with the breath that enlivens the body.

Thus, the conflict between the soul and personality leads to somatization in the body.

In this context, therefore, pathology arises as an expression of the separation between the social path of the human personality and the path that the soul of that personality would have liked to follow.

The greater the divergence between these two paths, the greater the pathological discomfort experienced by the person.

The aim of Unified Medicine is therefore to trace back to the cause that led to the pursuit of a personal path that has led to a departure from one’s spiritual path.

In this context, the energy-meditative practices of the Summa Aurea® Method are the cornerstone for experiencing transformative experiences with a transpersonal approach.
